The Wood Family ~Trust

The Wood Family Trust (WFT) was established by Sir Ian Wood and family by Deed of Trust dated 19 March 2007 and was officially launched on the 14th September 2007. The Wood Family Trust is a Scottish based charity with a global outlook.

What is the funding for?

WFT is focussed on three main investment areas Making markets work for poor Sub Saharan Africa; Volunteering overseas and Global citizenship; Developing Young People in Scotland.

How much money is available?£50million will be invested in these programmes over the next 5-10 years).

Who can apply?

Applications can be made to both the 16-25 year olds in the UK – Volunteering Overseas, and the Developing Young People in Scotland programmes. In these a major part of their work will be delivered through strategic partners but WFT will also accept applications from individuals and groups who are local to the North East of Scotland and will fund a small number of these on an annual basis.

When to apply

No closing dates apply for these programmes.

How to apply
As most of the funding is decided by the Wood Trust in conjunction with existing partners you will need to read the information on the website and then contact the office (details below) to discuss your ideas further.
