Tesco
Charity Trust
The Tesco
Charity Trust was established in 1987 and supports local and
national charities. It also gives a 20% top-up to monies raised
by Tesco employees for charity.
What
is the funding for?
The Tesco Charity Trust Community Awards ensure that grants
are targeted to local communities where Tesco have their stores.
They look for organisations supporting children’s welfare
and children’s educational projects, including special
schools and organisations supporting the elderly and people
with disabilities.
How
much money is available?
Awards are one-off donations and range from between £1,500
and £5,000.
Who
can apply?
Any not for profit group working to support children’s
education and welfare, children and adults with disabilities
and the elderly.
When
to apply
You can write to the Tesco Charity Trust at any time. The
closing dates for writing will depend on the round for which
you are applying
• Children’s welfare and education 31st January
each year
• Elderly and disabilities 30th June each year
