Community Foundation
The Scottish Community
Foundation was established in 1996 to support locally based
charities and community groups throughout Scotland. Grant
assistance is made through their own resources and through
their work in partnership with other funders including the
Dunfermline Building Society, the Hilden Charitable Fund and
the Sportsmans Charity.

Fund for Scotland
What is
the funding for?
Funding will
be available for projects that contribute to the regeneration
or development of an area such as:
- enhancing local
facilities for the purpose of encouraging women to live or
work within their local community, or benefiting local women
- benefiting local women with special needs because of their
gender, age, sexuality, disability or race
- assisting women to make use of local facilities and opportunities
for education, training or employment
- promoting
a safe and crime free environment for women in their communities
Funding will also
be available for projects to celebrate International Women’s
Day.
How much
money is available?
The
same criteria apply as to the “Main” and “Small”
grants schemes, i.e. £5,000 and £1,000
Who can
apply?
Women’s
organisations that are run by and for women, and organisations
which seek to support and empower women.
