Scottish
Community Foundation
Eaga
Community Fund
The Scottish
Community Foundation was established in 1996 to support locally
based charities and community groups throughout Scotland.
The funding for the Comic Relief Communities Programme is
devolved to the Community Foundation Network.
Eaga plc
is the UK’s largest residential energy efficiency provider.
The Eaga Community Fund has been created to support community
organisations as they seek to tackle at local level social
and environmental issues.
What
is the funding for?
These will primarily
be environmental projects. The fund will support projects
that educate, raise awareness and demonstrate engagement in
addressing environmental issues at a grass roots level. Because
Eaga wishes to see its employees engaged and contributing
to their communities, applications are particularly welcome
that also offer opportunities for participation and involvement
by Eaga staff.
How
much money is available?
offers one-off awards of between £250 and £5,000
to fund activities for up to 12 months. To have the most impact,
the Community Grants Programme only supports relatively small
organisations with incomes of less than £250,000 per
year, and makes grants worth at least 25% of the total project
cost to fund projects, equipment or activities.
Who
can apply?
Community groups, local charities and voluntary organisations
are all encouraged to apply and priority will be given to
practical projects that have the greatest environmental impact
When
to apply
It is a rolling programme with no deadlines.
