Churches Architectural Heritage Trust
The Scottish
Churches Architectural Heritage Trust assists with the repair
of religious buildings in use for public worship.
What
is the funding for?
The Trust will consider applications for:
• Repairs to or restoration of the structure of church
buildings in use for public worship
• Other work essential to preserve or to recover the
identity or continued function of the building as a place
of worship within the context of an accepted religious tradition
• Conservation work upon items of special artistic quality
or having associations with the history of the building and
its significance to the community.
Grants will NOT be given for church halls,
manses or other ancillary buildings, alterations or extensions,
bells, bell frames or organs, electrical or plumbing work,
disabled access or decorating costs.
How
much money is available?
Each project will be considered in its own merit.
Who
can apply?
Congregations of any denomination can apply.
When
to apply
At any time. The grants committee meets on a quarterly basis.
