The
Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust
The Trust
was formed in 1990 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the
Royal Warrant Holders Association and the 90th birthday of
the late Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. It aims to advance
education in the UK within modern and traditional crafts and
trades.
What
is the funding for?
The Trust will award scholarships to fund further study, training
and practical experience for men and women who want to improve
their craft or trade skills. The trust will be looking for
well planned proposals which will contribute to the excellence
of British crafts.
How
much money is available?
Each scholarship is worth between £2000 and £15,000.
The size of each award depends on how much funding is needed
for a project.
Who
can apply?
There is no age limit but you must be able to demonstrate
that you have already developed a high level of skill and
that you are committed to your trade or craft. You must live
and work within the U.K. A huge range of traditional and modern
crafts will be considered.
