Paths to Health Grant

(In a workplace setting)

Paths to Health was established in 2001 to contribute to health improvement in Scotland through the promotion of walking for health and now forms a key delivery mechanism for Scotland’s Physical Activity Strategy - Let’s Make Scotland More Active.

Paths to Health receives support from the Scottish Executive Health Department, Big Lottery Fund, British Heart Foundation, NHS Health Scotland, Centre for Healthy Working Lives and Scottish Natural Heritage.

What is the funding for?

The aim of Paths to Health is to increase the health and well-being of inactive people by promoting regular walking within local communities.

The workplace provides opportunities to encourage and support individuals to walk to work and also use lunch and other breaks to incorporate activity into their day.

How much money is available? Up to £2,000.

Who can apply?
Any workplace, but priority shall be given to those with less than 250 employees

There are also funds to allocate to Community based groups - current deadline is 31 August, see the website for more details.
