The local North East radio station, Northsound 1, run a children’s’ charity funded by money raised locally through a number of events throughout the year.

Cash for Kids

What is the funding for?
Each year “Cash for Kids” aims to give £100,000 to children’s groups and organisations across the North East. It especially hopes to help children and young people under the age of 18 who have mental, physical or sensory difficulties, those with behavioural problems and those living in situations of deprivation.

How much money is available?
Each case is looked at on its individual merits.

Who can apply?
Children’s groups and organisations based in the Northsound transmission area.

When to apply
Deadline for applications is 31 March each year, as awards are anounced in April.
