The
MacRobert Trust
The Trust was established
in 1943 by Lady MacRobert in memory of her three sons who
were all killed as aviators.
What is
the funding for?
Categories
that the trust will consider are:
- science
and technology
- youth,
especially uniformed groups,
- ex-servicemen
and women
- disability
- education
- community
welfare
with minor categories:
- agriculture
and horticulture
- arts and
music
- medical
- Tarland
and Deeside
The Trustees look
for clear, realistic and attainable aims.
How much
money is available?
Grants
vary, but are mostly of between £5,000 and £10,000.
Occasionally a recurring grant is made for up to three years.
Core/revenue grants are made if appropriate, but support is
usually given to specific projects.
Who can
apply?
Preference
is usually given to organisations based in Scotland and are
usually only made to registered charities.
When to
apply
The
Trustees meet to consider applications twice a year in March
and October. To be considered, applications must be received
for the March meeting before 31st October and for the October
meeting before the 31st May. Applicants are informed of the
Trustees decision and payments are made immediately after
each meeting.
