The
Lankelly Chase Foundation
The Chase Charity and the Lankelly Foundation have recently
amalgamated to form the Lankelly Chase Foundation.
What
is the funding for?
The Foundation supports work that has a recognised charitable
purpose. They tend to favour smaller charities and look for
user involvement as well as the use and support of volunteers.
Over the next four years the main programmes are:
• Arts – encouraging access to
the arts by those who have been least able to participate,
for example, those in rural areas or those with special needs.
• Developing Communities – to
assist the process of building a more inclusive society, responding
to the needs of all sectors of the community. Seeking to create
new employment opportunities.
• Breaking the Cycle - supporting projects
that break the cycle of abuse and violence in families marginalised
because of multiple deprivation. Which includes projects which
work with children of 5-13yrs of age and young people of 13
- 25 yrs of age. In addition an Annual Summer Playscheme awards
programme.
• Free and Quiet Minds – Mental
health issues amongst black and ethnic minority groups and
work with charities involved with psychiatric care.
