Whether
you are an already established organisation looking to tackle
a fresh project or if you are starting up a new community
group from scratch, the Buchan Community Toolbox is here to
help.
You
may be a playgroup looking for new equipment, a village wishing
to improve the local environment, or you may be looking to
set up a new sports club or arts group. Whatever your particular
needs are, the information here should help you get going.
The
Toolbox has been designed by the Buchan Development Partnership
to give practical advice to a wide range of community
groups in the form of easy to read, self-help information
The
Toolbox has been divided into four main sections:
1)
Getting Started which
provides all the information you need to know about setting
up a new community group or project, including details on
group structures, constitutions, committees and money management.
2) Developing
Your Project which guides you through your project from
the beginning, dealing with such matters as feasibility studies,
writing successful funding applications, future planning and
sustainability.
3) Funding which offers a
comprehensive guide to all the forms of grant aid available
to local community groups in the Buchan area.
4) Small Business Support.
This section provides you with information about who to contact
for advice on setting up or developing a small business within
the Buchan area
So, whatever you need to know, to get going with your group
or project , the Buchan Community Toolbox should be able to
point you in the right direction. But remember that more detailed
advice and guidance is always available from the Buchan Development
Partnership who can be contacted at any time.
