Idlewild
Trust
Peter Minet founded The Peter Minet Trust in 1969 and in 1974
he established The Idlewild Trust, to support the arts, culture
and conservation in the national arena. He died in 1988.
What
is the funding for?
A Grant Making Trust supporting registered charities
(not individuals) concerned with the encouragement of excellence
in the performing and fine arts and the preservation for the
benefit of the public of buildings and items of historical
interest or national importance.
Occasional
support is given for conservation of the natural environment.
However,
the Trust’s interest is national and it is unlikely
to support a project of local, parochial interest only.

How
much money is available?
Grants awarded are typically between £1,000
and £3,000.

Grants are normally made to registered charities

Two deadlines per year, 29 February 2008 and one other later
on in the year, still to be named.
