The Hugh Fraser Foundation

The Foundation was established in 1960 by Sir Hugh Fraser with shares in House of Fraser and other investments.

What is the funding for?

Small grants for a wide variety of causes. There is little information available on the web with details of the fund but various halls have been successful in accessing small grant funding for projects. The Foundation's objects cover a range of areas, but it is concerned principally with the following: hospitals; schools and universities; arts organisations; and organisations working with the handicapped, the underprivileged and the aged.

How much money is available?
No amounts specified but mainly small grants.

Who can apply? Registered Charities or non-profit making organisations only.The Trustees pay special regard to applications from the West of Scotland and from parts of Scotland where the local economy makes fundraising difficult. However, applications from other parts of Scotland are considered.

When to apply
At any time. A decision shall be made within 8 weeks of application.
