Senior Mobility Campaign

What is the funding for?
Senior Mobility has been in operation since 1979, providing grants for groups and projects to buy badly needed vehicles, scooters and mobility equipment. The aims of Senior Mobility are to keep as many senior citizens aged 65 and over, active and independent, and make them less isolated. Senior Mobility provides the following:
- manual and electric wheelchairs
- scooters and electric buggies
- community cars
- multi-purpose vehicles
- minibuses 8,12 and 16 seaters
- mobile day care centres

How much money is available?
Each case is looked at individually.

Who can apply?
Community groups and projects working with older people such as:
- day centres and luncheon clubs
- nursing homes
- “Dial a Rides” and other community transport schemes
- gardening projects
- “Shopmobility”
- “Care and Repair”
- “Meals on Wheels”
