Help
the Aged
Help the Aged is
a U.K. based charity providing practical support to older
people.
Senior
Mobility Campaign
What is
the funding for?
Senior Mobility has been in operation since 1979,
providing grants for groups and projects to buy badly needed
vehicles, scooters and mobility equipment. The aims of Senior
Mobility are to keep as many senior citizens aged 65 and over,
active and independent, and make them less isolated. Senior
Mobility provides the following:
* Accessible Minibuses – 8, 12 or 16 seaters
* Community cars
* Multi-purpose vehicles
* Adapted gardening vans
* Mobile day-care, and information centres
* Care & Repair vehicles
A SeniorMobility
transport expert can deal with all aspects of a vehicle purchase
on behalf of a project - including the financial and legal
paperwork - for a nominal fee. Projects that have secured
enough funding for the vehicle by themselves can enjoy significant
price discounts by purchasing it through SeniorMobility's
bulk-buying scheme.
