Scottish
Power Green Energy Trust
The Green
Energy Trust was established in 1998 and supports the development
of new renewable energy sources in the U.K. It is funded entirely
by Scottish Power’s Green Energy Fund customers and
offers grants to a wide range of projects that increase our
knowledge and usage of renewable energy.
What
is the funding for?
The Trust’s aims are:
• to assist in the creation of new, renewable electricity
sources within the U.K.
• to encourage the research and development of renewable
energy sources
• to promote education in the community on the generation
of new renewable energy sources.
How
much money is available?
The Trust can provide up to 50% of the project costs with
no upper limit
Who
can apply?
Any group wishing to run a renewable energy project or a renewable
energy education project which will bring benefit to the community.
When
to apply
The Trust meets three times a year to consider applications,
usually in the first week of April, September and December.
Applications must be submitted seven weeks prior to the Trustee’s
meetings.
How
to apply
There is no application as such but guidelines on the type
