Funding
Introduction
Finding
sources of funding is essential to the development of any
project. Yet it can also be the most difficult part , as there
are so many places to look and it can all become very time
consuming.
Grant aid can come
from Public Bodies, such as the local council or the National
Lottery, from a Corporate Body such as Lloyds TSB, or from
a private Trust Fund. It would be virtually impossible to
list every available source of funding, but we have compiled
here a comprehensive and up to date list of funding sources
that we feel are the most relevant to community groups within
the Buchan area.
Each source of
grant aid is listed in an easy to read format, setting the
information out under the following headings:
- What is the funding
for?
- How much money
is available?
- Who can apply?
- When to apply
- How to apply
Please
be aware that most funders change their application criteria
from time to time so it is strongly advised that you contact
them directly to ensure that the conditions listed here are
still applicable, before taking your application any further.
