As one
of Britain’s leading retailers, the Dixons Group recognise
that they have responsibilities within the community. The
Foundation is a registered charity which contributes to many
community projects.
What
is the funding for?
The Foundation will contribute to specific community projects
rather than core or running costs. They encourage their staff
to support funding requests from charities with which they
are personally involved, and their current focus is on the
following categories:
Crime prevention - improving co-operation
on crime prevention
promoting community safety
Health - improving public education and understanding
of health
related issues
supporting families in need
Regeneration - improving local social, economic
and environmental
conditions
Education - helping to provide I.T. to disadvantaged
groups
Supporting training initiatives
Social inclusion - local projects to promote
the inclusion of young people
into mainstream education and society
How
much money is available?
Donations from the Foundation range from between £100
and £10,000, but the
majority of grants are for amounts of £2,000 or less.

Any community group or organisation.
When
to apply
At any time. Grants are made once a year.
