The Dickie
Bird Foundation
The foundation
was established in March 2004 by Dickie Bird with the aim
of helping disadvantaged young people throughout the UK to
participate in sport.
What
is the funding for?
The foundation aims to give financial assistance to disadvantaged
young people under 18 years of age to participate to the best
of their ability, in the sport of their choice. Grants will
be made irrespective of social circumstances or cultural background
to ensure they improve their chances both inside and outside
sport.
How
much money is available?
The minimum amount is £100 and the maximum £5,000.
Who
can apply?
The applicant or the whole of the group they are representing
must be under 18 years of age, and you will only be considered
for a grant if you are unable to raise the funds elsewhere.
