Action Earth in Scotland
Scottish
Natural Heritage are sponsoring the Action Earth Campaign
again .
What
is the funding for?
CSV Action Earth is aimed at involving local communities in
improving their environment. This year they are keen to support
projects from socially disadvantaged urban and rural areas
or projects that target volunteers from these communities.
Grants
will be available to assist with the purchase of tools, materials,
expenses and refreshments.
How
much money is available?
Small grants of up to £50 will be available,
along with promotional material including stickers, flyers
and certificates. Media toolkit, and advice and support.
Who
can apply?
Community groups/organisations, schools and businesses can
apply.
Projects
must:
- Be
practical and visual
- Have
an immediate or lasting benefit to the environment
- Involve
volunteers (new/existing)
Multiple
projects can also be applied, groups can submit up
to 4 projects.
They
must meet the following criteria:
- Projects
must be CLEARLY DISTINCT
- On
SEPARATE SITES/LOCATIONS
- Must
be PRACTICAL AND INVOLVE VOLUNTEERS, (new and existing)
- Take
place on DIFFERENT DATES
When
to apply
The closing dates are passed now for 2007, but shall re-open
during December for 2008.
