Aberdeenshire Sports Council

Aberdeenshire Sports Council is an independent body set up in 1996 by Aberdeenshire Council to represent sporting clubs and organisations, and is today one of the most progressive and active sports councils in the country.

Travel Grants

What is the funding for?
Teams travelling to a prestigious tournament or competition either at home or overseas can apply for assistance with travelling costs.

How much money is available?
The maximum grant is £150 per team per year if travelling within Scotland, or £300 per team per year if travelling within the rest of the U.K. or abroad, or 50% of the travel costs, whichever is the lesser.

Who can apply?
Any properly constituted club or team based in Aberdeenshire and affiliated to the Aberdeenshire Sports Council. It is strongly advised that the club or team should be affiliated to their National Governing Body of Sport.
