Aberdeenshire Sports
Council is an independent body set up in 1996 by Aberdeenshire
Council to represent sporting clubs and organisations and
is today one of the most progressive and active sports councils
in the country.

Starter Grants
What is
the funding for?
To
help with the start-up costs for new sporting clubs and forums,
including administration costs, equipment purchase, insurance
and hire costs.
How much
money is available?
A
maximum amount of £200 or 50% of the costs, whichever
is the lesser. The grant will include the first years affiliation
fees.
Who can
apply?
New
sporting clubs or forums who are properly constituted. Assistance
may be given by the Sports Council to produce a constitution,
along with general support and advice if required. New clubs
will be expected to affiliate to the Sports Council for at
least three years.
When to
apply
At any time.
