Area Initiatives Fund
(please
note this fund is only available to community groups in the
Buchan area of Aberdeenshire.
What
is the funding for?
This funding is made available through the Buchan Area Committee
to support community groups with projects that will be of
wide and visible benefit. Priority will be given to those
schemes highlighted by Planning for Real® and to material
and equipment costs needed to support voluntary efforts.
How
much money is available?
£5000 or up to 80% of the total project costs (Additional
funding may be available to help progress projects that have
been identified and prioritised by the community through the
Planning for Real process and which will help them deliver
targets identified in their Action Plans).
Who
can apply?
Any community group within Buchan.
When
to apply
The fund
for each year is usually announced in May with a closing date
in June. In 2010 the closing date for applications is 18th
June, with a possible further round in September if there
are any funds remainiing. You are encouraged to discuss your
project with the Development Officer at Buchan Development
Partnership, who administer the fund on behalf of the Buchan
Area Committee, before submitting your applications.
