Aberdeen University Students’ Charity Campaign
Aberdeen University,
The Robert Gordon University and Aberdeen College have been
running a charities campaign for the last 85 years. Money
is raised each year through a variety of events and activities
including the annual Torcher Parade.
What is
the funding for?
The campaign helps local charities and groups in the Aberdeen
and Aberdeenshire area. A total of £50,000 was raised
in 2006 with amounts ranging from £50 to £6,000
being disbursed to local charities.
How much
money is available?
Each award will be between £50 to £5,000, which
may well increase on a year by year basis, depending on the
amounts raised by the Students Campaign.
Who can
apply?
Any charitable group or organisation in the Aberdeen/shire
area.
When to
apply
Closing date for 2007 has now passed, awaiting details of
the future deadlines.
