Village SOS

Village SOS aims to build on the experience of ten projects funded under a previous Village SOS programme and inspire the whole nation to join in and take the bold step towards starting a new business that will regenerate their own community.

Ongoing support, including expert advice and events, is on offer to help community led business ventures get off the ground, breathe new life into their areas, create new jobs and improve the quality of life of local people.

What is the funding for?
They want to support inspiring business ideas that will bring people together in villages across the UK and support activities and enterprises that will tackle the challenges they face.

They're particularly interested in giving money to enterprising ideas that will use the skills of local people, and the area’s natural resources, land and buildings.

How much money is available?
The programme will provide about 250 grants between £10,000 and £30,000

Who can apply?
Your idea must be for a community enterprise.
Your village must be in a rural area and have fewer than 3,000 people living in it.
They can only accept one entry per village.

You must register on their website in order to apply.
