TalkTalk Digital Heroes Awards
(previously
known as Innovation in the
Community Awards)
The
2010 TalkTalk Digital Heroes Awards is a competition for individuals
who are using digital technology to benefit their local communities.
The awards will
be given to outstanding individuals, working within UK community
groups or charities, who are using the power of digital technology
to implement bright ideas which bring about positive social
change. The awards will be used to fund both new and existing
digital projects.
What is
the funding for?
The Digital Heroes
Awards will be given to outstanding individuals using the
power of the internet to implement bright ideas which bring
about positive social change.
•A total
of 12 Digital Heroes Awards will be awarded in 2010, one from
each region of the UK
•3 nominees will be shortlisted for each of the 12 regions
and these will be put to a public vote
•The most popular one from each region will be selected
as its TalkTalk Digital Hero
How much
money is available?
£5,000 for
individual winners and £10,000 for the overall winner
Who can
apply?
The Digital Heroes
Awards will be given to outstanding individuals using the
power of the internet to implement bright ideas which bring
about positive social change.
•It mustn´t be a commercial enterprise
•Nominations are encouraged from anyone who knows a
Digital Hero
•You can even nominate yourself!
