Grimple's
Green Grants
The inaugural Grimple's
Green Grants was launched in August 2010 by The Green Insurance
Company. They already encouraged green behaviour on our roads
through their green insurance policies but Green Grants gave
the opportunity to extend this into communities across the
UK.
So, how do you
get involved? They are looking for green projects across the
United Kingdom that they can fund and support and they have
up to £40,000 to give away to environmentally friendly
projects like yours.
What is
the funding for?
They are looking for projects with creativity and
imagination. It can be anything from creating a community
garden to reducing food miles by growing your own vegetables
or a wildlife garden to encourage biodiversity.
How much
money is available?
They are offering
grants of up to £2,000 for small projects and organisations
while alongside this they have a special one off grant of
up to £10,000 available for one lucky project.
