Funding

Equality and Human Rights Commission

Strategic Funding Programme

The new funding programme builds on the Commission’s 2008-09 interim programme, and is at the core of a soon to be launched three year strategy which will set out the Commission’s vision of a Britain built on principles of fairness, equality and respect.

What is the funding for?
Over the period 2009-12 the funding programme will support work that underpins the EHRC three year strategy. They will particularly prioritise the following two areas:

* Priority One – Providing guidance, advice and advocacy services; Infrastructure development and capacity building
* Priority Two – Good Relations

[N.B. A third priority, legal casework, will be launched later in the summer of 2009.]

It is advisable to look at the website which provides very detailed examples of what they will and will not fund, the types of projects they are looking for with examples.

How much money is available?

You cannot request more than £150,000 per year but can apply for 3 years worth of funding.
