Enterprise Growth Fund
The Wise Group, with partners CEiS, DSL and the Social Value
Lab, has been awarded the contract to manage and administer
a £4 million Scottish Government Fund to support growth
and development of the Third sector in Scotland.
Enterprise Growth Fund will be awarding grants between £25,000
and £200,000 to support long term development objectives.
Awards will be made to those organisations that demonstrate
the greatest potential for growth and sustainability. The
fund will invest in organisational services and structures.
Eligibility - The Fund will be available
to third sector organisations that:
- have a governance structure that primarily does not allow
for profit distribution
- have social as well as business objectives built into their
legal structures
- are committed to working with disadvantaged groups, providing
services to disadvantaged communities or are constituted to
provide sound environmental benefit
- are independent of Government
- can demonstrate that they are working towards trading and
other forms of income generation
Outcomes - The Fund aims to deliver the following
key outcomes for the sector:
sustainable growth
financial resilience
business development
improved efficiencies
enhanced ability to win contracts
greater social impact.
The Consortium brings together a group of experienced third
sector organisations with the right skills and expertise to
deliver an efficient, quality driven and timely fund programme
and provide high quality business advice and support to third
sector organisations throughout the application process and
post award.
The Enterprise Growth Fund will complement Just
Enterprise support and learning services and other third
sector services that the Scottish Government is currently
putting in place to support a sustainable, capable and enterprising
third sector across Scotland.
Awards and distribution of funds to successful third sector
organisations will be completed by the end of January 2012.

F rom 12 noon on Friday 2nd September 2011 you will be able
to access the Initial Enquiry online system through the Wise
Group website. At this stage you will be able to prepare your
responses on the on-line form and save your progress as you
go along.
Please note that a deadline for submission of on-line Initial
Enquiry forms has been set for 5pm on Monday 19th September
2011.
The system will be available to receive completed on-line
Initial Enquiry submissions from 12 noon next Tuesday 6th
September 2011.
