Creative
Scotland
Creative Scotland
has now taken over the funding commitments and investment
strands of the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish theatre.
What is
the funding for?
Creative Scotland provides funding for all aspects
of the arts, ranging from dance and music to crafts and literature.
They make project funds available to both individuals and
arts organisations.
As funding
and conditions depend both on the strand of arts' funding
you are looking for or whether you are an organisation and
an individual, you should consult the website where all the
information is available. Click here
to access this.
How much
money is available?
Amounts vary depending
on which scheme is applied for.
If you need funding between £500 and £10,000
you should consider applying to Awards for All. This is a
joint programme to help small organisations, supported by
the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Scottish Arts Council, SportScotland
and the Big Lottery Fund. For further information visit the
Awards for
All section on this Toolbox or telephone 0845 600 2040.
Who can
apply?
Individual
artists or arts organisations.
When to
apply
Some applications operate on a ‘fast track’
basis. This means that there are no fixed deadlines and you
can apply at any time, as long as your application is received
at least four weeks before your project will begin with decisions
taking four weeks. Other funds have fixed deadlines. For further
details on these click on the individual funds here.
