Community Recycling Network for Scotland (CRNS)
Knowledge
and Skills Exchange Fund
This
fund of £120,000 over two years has come from the Scottish
Government to be used to facilitate learning and the exchange
of knowledge and ideas between CRNS members and within the
wider community sector. The Fund wishes to be as flexible
as possible but must not be used to finance activity which
is already funded by Scottish Government or other public monies.
What
is the funding for?
The Knowledge & Skills Exchange Fund aims to
support activities which promote the exchange and dissemination
of good practice. Below are examples of what the fund can
be used for
* Going
on visits to other more established organisations in the third
sector or projects of particular interest or relevance to
your organisation - e.g. travel, accommodation, subsistence,
childcare and other support costs, payments to host organisations
etc.
* Hosting a visit for one or a number of organisations - e.g.
venue costs, catering, staff/volunteer time, administration
costs, childcare and other support costs, etc.
* Attending external events and conferences.
How
much money is available?
If applying for a visit the following guidance costs
apply - Mileage will be paid at 40p per mile Accommodation
costs up to £60 per person per night B& B. Subsistence
up to £20 per person per day (no alcohol).
If hosting
a visit the following guidance costs apply - Venue costs up
to £20 per hour. Staff/volunteer/administration time
up to £10 per hour. Catering costs up to £10 per
person attending the visit/activity. If hosting a visit host
costs up to £400 per day
If attending
an external event see above for accommodation/subsistence
Who
can apply?
Applications will be considered from all full and
fledgling CRNS members. To find out more about how to become

to apply
If you
would like to apply to this fund and think your activity fits

Once the completed application has been received a confirmation/refusal
letter will be sent with a cheque for the agreed funding within
14 days.
