Biffaward
Biffaward is one
of the most respected Landfill Communities Fund schemes, and
has awarded more than £100 million to worthwhile projects
since 1997. Every year, they support a large number of projects
across the UK which enhance communities and biodiversity.
Your project MUST be within 10 miles of a Biffa Operation

of sites here.
What is
the funding for?
They
offer 4 levels of funding -
Main
Grants - Community- £5,000 to £50,000 for
projects that provide and improve Community facilities
Main
Grants - Biodiversity - £5,000 to £50,000
for projects that conserve wildlife species and habitats.
Small
Grants - £250 - £5,000 for projects that enable
communities to improve local amenities and to conserve wildlife
Flagship
-£150,000 to £5000,00 for regionally significant
projects which improve biodiversity or cultural facilities.

Who can
apply?
The applicant organisation and project must beeligible
for enrolment and registration with the scheme's regulator,
ENTRUST. These will
be conditions of any grant approved. Please note that organisations
must be not for profit. Local authorities cannot apply or
enrol.
The project's site must be within 10 miles of a Biffa operation
The project's site must also bewithin 10 miles of a landfill
site (owned by any company)
