BBC Performing Arts Fund

(formerly known as Fame Academy Bursaries)

The BBC Performing Arts Fund helps aspiring music-makers and performers looking for a way to get ahead.

They launch different funding streams throughout the year.. Information will be posted here when it is available but you can sign up receive a Newsletter giving advance information.

Training in Musical Theatre

What is the funding for?

Ambitious and talented students aged 17 and over in April of the year of application with a place, or applying for one, on a professional musical theatre training course in the UK, and without the means to pay for the fees.

How much money is available?

Upto £8,000. This scheme has changed from previous years in that it will only contribute to the cost of your fees. They will not pay for travel, headshots, equipment, books, magazines or living expenses, such as rent, mobile phone, food or clothes.

Who can apply?

This scheme is open to students who are about to start their course and to students who are part way through a course.
